Coming over Glenshane (Option 1)

This route, although straightforward, can be a bit twisty.

Go through Dungiven.

On the far side of Dungiven, pass over the river then take a left turn (opposite the petrol station). This is the road to Feeney then Claudy.

A couple of miles past Feeney there are a group of houses (Craigdarragh) with a 40mph sign.

On the far side of these houses there is a left turn (there is a signpost on the right pointing down the road saying ‘Donemana 8’).

Go down this road, shortly there is a tight 'S' bend across a stream, then after a mile or so take care going straight across the crossroads (Longland Road) and after another couple of miles you come to a T junction – take a left, you are now on the main road between Claudy and Donemana.

If you miss this turning go on to Claudy and take the left turn at the crossroads, again signposted Donemana. This is the same road as above.

Go straight through Donemana, next village is Artigarvan, follow the main road, eventually you’ll come to a T junction, take a left turn towards Strabane. Follow the bypass (main road) and take a left turn at the first roundabout (by Asda) onto Railway Road. (Click here for Next)

Coming over Glenshane (Option 2)

Go through Dungiven. Stay on the main road to L/Derry. Then follow signs for Omagh/Strabane (A5). Follow the main road at Strabane and take a left turn at the first roundabout (by Asda) onto Railway Road. (Click here for Next)

Coming from Omagh

Go through Sion Mills, follow main road, take 1st left at first roundabout, straight through traffic lights, straight across second roundabout, cross over river, take a right turn at 3rd roundabout (by Asda) onto Railway Road. (Click here for Next)

Once in Strabane

You have now turned off the main road at the roundabout by Asda.

After about 50 yards, you will come to another roundabout - go straight across this one.

Go along Railway Road to the end you will come to a T junction (you are now in Abercorn Square). Amongst other shops you should see the Ulster Bank (more or less) facing you

Take a right turn at this T junction.

After approx 60 yards there is a traffic light controlled pedestrian crossing.

Immediately after this crossing take the second left (Note that there are two roads to the left almost beside each other).

Go up Butcher Street (car park on your right) and take the first left at the mini roundabout at the top. Then take a right into The Bowling Green car park.

Once parked, you’ll see a pub called ‘Murphy’s on the Green’. Take a left up Barrack Street past it. Shortly on the left you’ll see the St. Vincent de Paul shop – but keep going past the big gates (rear entrance to the police station) and immediately you’ll see a small gate with a sign saying 'Vincent's Mews' – we’re in there!
